After a two week trial, John Orbon secured a unanimous defense verdict for our client, a local hospital’s security personnel. The case was venued in Richmond County and involved allegations that defendant negligently and recklessly allowed the plaintiff to be assaulted by security personnel hired by the defendant hospital and that the hospital was negligent in hiring security personnel. As a result, it was alleged plaintiff was caused to suffer serious injuries and emotional distress. At trial, the defense established that the security personnel acted reasonably under the circumstances. Accordingly, the jury unanimously determined that our client was not negligent.
